Miosono is committed to protecting your privacy. This app is designed with privacy as a core principle.

All audio processing happens entirely on your device, and no data is transmitted to external servers.

2. Data Collection

Audio Recordings: Miosono records audio during sleep sessions. These recordings are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to any server or cloud service.

Analysis Data: The app uses on-device machine learning (TensorFlow Lite) to analyze your recordings and detect sleep sounds. This analysis happens entirely on your device.

User Preferences: Settings and preferences are stored locally using AsyncStorage and remain on your device.

3. Data Storage

All data generated by Miosono is stored exclusively on your device:

Audio recordings are saved to your device's local storage
Sleep session metadata and statistics are stored in local databases
App settings and preferences are stored locally
No data synchronization or cloud backup occurs automatically

4. Data Sharing

Miosono does not share your data with any third parties. Specifically:

No analytics services are used
No advertising networks are integrated
No telemetry or usage tracking is performed
No data is sent to external servers

The only exception is if you explicitly choose to share a recording or crash report via email, which uses your device's native email client.

5. Crash Reports

If the app encounters an error, crash logs are stored locally on your device. You have full control over these logs and can choose to:

View crash logs in the Settings screen
Send crash reports to the developer via email (optional)
Delete all crash logs at any time

Crash reports contain only technical information (error messages, stack traces) and do not include any personal data or audio recordings.

6. Permissions

Miosono requests the following permissions:

Microphone: Required to record audio during sleep sessions
Storage: Required to save recordings and session data
Notifications: Optional, used to notify you when recording starts/stops

These permissions are used solely for the app's core functionality and are not used for any tracking or data collection purposes.

7. Data Deletion

You have complete control over your data:

Delete individual recordings from the Sessions list
Clear all app data from the Settings screen
Uninstall the app to remove all data from your device

8. Limitation of Liability

As an independent developer, this App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Specifically:

Accuracy: No guarantee that AI algorithms will identify 100% of sound events correctly
Device Usage: The developer is not responsible for device heating, battery consumption, or storage usage resulting from overnight recording
Data Loss: While we strive for reliability, we are not responsible for any loss of recordings or data
Health Outcomes: The developer is not liable for any health-related decisions made based on App data

9. Children's Privacy

Miosono does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app is designed for general audiences and does not target children.
